ABOUT SHIFT:
The SHIFT program (Supporting Heroes in Mental Health Foundational Training) began in 2007,. This initiative goes above and beyond: by providing a range of both basic and advanced mental health awareness trainings specifically designed for individuals involved in these investigations. It's a commendable effort to equip professionals with the necessary knowledge and skills needed to effectively address mental health concerns. SHIFT was the first comprehensive and foundational training program in the United States to address mental health for online child sexual exploitation investigators. To date they have trained over 45,000 heroes.
In this podcast, Eric shares his firsthand experiences, successes, failures, emotions, and insights while also welcoming expert guests from diverse backgrounds. You will hear firsthand from investigators, prosecutors, child welfare advocates, psychologists, educators, law makers, technology experts, and survivors who offer multifaceted perspectives on the insidious nature of this crime.
